EASY PILL CRUSHING
-Form and function that has stood the test of time.-
The pug pill grinder is a new take on an ancient device. The mortar and Pestle was used by our 'cave-man' ancestors more than 10,000 years ago, and it's still in use today.
The pug pill crusher grinds your medication to a very fine powder. The blue pestle fits down into the mortar very precisely. It delimits the pill particles that pass into the jar. It's this close fit that ensures a complete grind without any big chunks to block feeding tubes or choke you.
Multiple tablets can be crushed at once, making pill grinding a quick and easy process.
Cleaning of the pug is simple and easy. Just rinse with warm water and let dry. The pug also comes with a jar and lid to make carrying your medication easy. Extra jars and lids can be purchased online.
How It Works
-
Step 1
With the Pestle installed, place the pills you would like to crush into the top of the Mortar.
-
Step 2
Now all you have to do is rotate the Pestle in the Mortar. The pill particles will get smaller and smaller as they drop through the device.
-
Step 3
Your finely ground pill powder is contained in the clear jar on the
bottom. Simply unscrew the jar to access your powdered medication.

Perfect for feeding tube medication
I got this for my mom, who has arthritis in her hands and has to grind pills for my dad to go into his feeding tube. It works perfectly, even on the hard to grind pills and is easy enough for her to use with her arthritis.

This makes life so much easier!
I'm the primary caregiver for my elderly father, who is a stroke survivor. One of the lasting effects of his stroke is severe dysphagia, so he's unable to swallow most things by mouth and uses a PEG tube. We've been crushing his pills using a little circular pill crushing that you twist with your hands, and it was a nightmare. Your hands hurt, you can only do 1 or 2 pills at a time, and they stuck to the grinder.
